Thu
Children & Nature Network Conference @ Oakland Marriott City Center
May 16 @ 10:15 am – 4:30 pm

Come listen to birdsong at the beautiful and historic Lake Merritt Park, the first official bird sanctuary in the United States. This hands-on training will offer an opportunity to explore core routines of nature connection that are key to social-emotional learning, including listening for bird language. Learn powerful secrets from early childhood experts, including a nature-based Occupational Therapist and the Founder of the leading nature connection preschool in San Francisco. They will share tools for enhancing your school, community or family through mindful connection to the natural world. Whether your setting is rural, urban or suburban, participants of all ages can activate their neurobiology and awaken the senses. These routines are based on ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience, activating the highest developmental potential in all ages, anywhere, anytime. Note: This session is offsite and outdoors at Lake Merritt, which is a 30-minute walk from the hotel. Lyft rides will be provided both ways for those who do not wish to walk. A box lunch will be provided at Lake Merritt.

Best practice for human development includes the brilliance of nature.
What if we could live in a world where looking into the eyes of children was like seeing lights for a better future?

My Nature-Led Approach guides children in becoming whole again. By using this approach, you will witness children become curious, resilient, joyful, humans who will be capable of solving the problems our world faces.

The Nature-Led Approach Certification is a training and mentorship like no other. In this fun and easy to digest training, I weave together science, immersive nature connection, developmental research, and the neurological needs of children. This comprehensive workshop and 9-month mentorship gives you the insight, tools and language you need to access all nature has to offer for your program, class or family.

“This is precisely the knowledge and skill set that any professional working with kids (or people, really) needs to meet the demands of this societal and environmental moment and to create a hopeful, healthy future.” – participant

AND, I make it fun, accessible, and easy to digest. It will change you AND the way you practice or parent.
